For this website, there was a need to simplify. The old website was outdated, not mobile friendly and needed a complete overhaul. In today’s world of get me information quickly, a single page real estate design was implemented. I placed all pertinent real estate MLS search information on one page with a handy contact form on the side of the screen to allow users to type in the address or MLS numbers of properties which are sent to the broker’s email for scheduling showings or asking questions.
Company information and a link to get directions to the real estate office were added under the address. A click to call phone number for mobile users and a short image slider marketing message at the top was added. An efficient anchor menu which smoothly scrolls to the section the user clicks on and fades in at the top as the page is scrolled on larger screen resolutions, for easy access.
I added links given to me by the IDX administrator for the office listings and the MLS public search form. They needed to be enclosed in a customizable iframe to be viewable on the main page. A section for city and county government information was added at the bottom for users to get information on the area.
I also replicated the website design on the other domain name. It was a nice layout and I enjoyed crafting what was needed in a one page format.
